Leadership development
should create change
that travels.

From internal transformation
to impact through others.

The strongest leadership development doesn't stop with insight.

It changes how people think, communicate, make decisions and influence the people around them — and can extend from individual growth into career progression, organisational value and wider impact.

How Impact Travels

Change rarely stops
with the individual.

The real value of leadership development isn’t only in the initial shift. It’s what changes around you — and who you influence — because you lead differently.

01
Personal /
Internal

Greater self-awareness, confidence and clarity — recognising the value you bring and backing yourself.

02
Professional /
Career

Stronger communication, executive presence, career positioning, leadership progression and the confidence to pursue greater responsibility.

03
Organisational /
Commercial

Better stakeholder relationships, clearer decision-making, stronger collaboration, strategic contribution and outcomes that create value beyond the individual.

04
Wider
Impact

Leadership that multiplies through other people, teams, organisations and — in some cases — broader community or public outcomes.

LEADERSHIP X-FACTOR SCORECARD DATA

The human side of leadership is where the gaps show up.

People often come to leadership development focused on the outcome they can see — stronger communication, greater confidence, more influence or career progression.

But the visible challenge is not always the source. Across ~500 Leadership X-Factor Scorecard responses, the patterns point deeper — to how people see themselves, the beliefs they hold, their clarity of direction, and how they navigate boundaries, pressure and uncertainty.

73%

63%

63%

59%

55%

51%

Leadership challenges may show up in communication, confidence or career progression — but the source often sits deeper.

That is why the human side of leadership sits at the heart of Leadership X-Factor.

Case Study — Leading Through Multiple Restructures

From navigating uncertainty to creating cohesion

Context / Challenge

A senior technology leader was operating through multiple restructures over two years and shifting senior expectations. The challenge was maintaining confident judgement, decision-making and contribution amid continued uncertainty.

What we worked on

Decision-making under ambiguity, clearer boundaries, knowing when enough information was available to make a decision, executive communication and bringing the client’s perspective into senior discussions more proactively.

Shift

The client developed more confident senior-level contribution, clearer decision-making and greater comfort operating through ambiguity.

Impact

The client developed closer relationships both up and down the organisational chain, increasingly became a connector across people and teams, and strengthened cohesion and senior-level contribution through continued organisational change.

Case Study — A Bigger Remit

Shifting from doing to leading through others

Context / Challenge

Following a significant expansion in remit, a returning client was building a new function and team of 15 and needed to shift from personally solving problems to creating the conditions for others to perform.

What we worked on

Trust in judgement, delegation, hiring, expectations, motivation, people leadership and creating clarity and psychological safety across a growing team.

Shift

The client became more deliberate about where to lead directly, where to delegate and how to enable stronger contribution from others.

Impact

The development supported the transition from individual contribution into building capability through people — establishing the leadership foundations for a new function, a 15-person team and broader organisational responsibility.

Case Study — A Strategic Technology Initiative

An idea that reached the executive table

Context / Challenge

A senior technologist in a public-sector organisation was developing an innovative technology initiative with significant organisational and community potential.

What we worked on

Executive positioning, strategic communication, narrative, business pitching and influence with senior decision-makers.

Shift

The client communicated the initiative with greater executive clarity and strategic positioning, reaching senior decision-makers and securing executive sponsorship.

Impact

The initiative progressed beyond the original proposal into a 9-figure strategic technology initiative, creating significant organisational and community impact beyond the organisation itself.

9-FIGURE VALUE · SIGNIFICANT COMMUNITY IMPACT
Case Study — Progression With a Multiplier Effect

Development that continued through others

Context / Challenge

A senior leader wanted to strengthen the confidence and leadership capability required for broader responsibility.

What we worked on

Leadership identity, confidence, communication, team leadership and applying those capabilities to progression and people development.

Shift

Confidence increased from 5/10 to 8/10 — a 60% increase.

Impact

The client moved into broader GM-level responsibility within approximately 3 months and progressed again at executive level within approximately 12 months. The impact then extended through the team: team engagement increased by 5 points, three underperforming team members improved within approximately 6 months, and the client went on to mentor and develop others.
